Arthur J. Braza is Honored With the 2012 ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award

The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs proudly announces that Arthur J. Braza, professor of accounting, Three Rivers Community College, Norwich CT, has received the 2012 Teaching Excellence Award for the Northeastern Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP Region 1).

The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs recognizes individuals each year who exemplify teaching excellence in the classroom. Mr. Braza was honored, along with other regional recipients, at the 2012 ACBSP Annual Conference, June 15-18 in Baltimore, MD.

Professor Braza has served Three Rivers Community College for over twenty years as a professor of accounting. He was chosen based on his work in the classroom as a respected and admired instructor and, also, because he serves as a source of counsel and support to students in his role as their academic advisor. Mr. Braza is consistently praised by students as an approachable, understanding and excellent teacher.
NCCET Announces 2012-2013 Board of Directors

Columbus, OH – The National Council for Continuing Education and Training (NCCET) new officers assumed office on July 1 for the 2012-2013 membership year. Serving as officers on the Executive Committee for 2012-2013 are Rob Clancey, Polk State College, president; Kirk White, Houston Community College, president elect; Darcy McGrath, Johnson County Community College, immediate past president; Mona Rabon, Central Piedmont Community College, vice president for administration and finance; Carla Hixson, Bismarck State College, vice president, programs; Bo Garcia, Lansing Community College, vice president, marketing and communications; and Pamela Murray, Portland Community College, vice president, membership services.

Serving as new national directors for 2012-2013 are Dr. Jerrilee K. Mosier, Ivy Tech Community College and Dr. Patricia Ramos, Santa Monica College.

Continuing in their appointed roles as national directors are Kim Barman, Heartland Community College; Linda Head, Lone Star College System; Dr. Merrill Irving, Oakton Community College; Paul Koehnke, Central Piedmont Community College; Donna Lawrence, Midlands Technical College; and Marjorie Valentin, Three Rivers Community College.

Officers were elected by NCCET members in balloting held in June. Congratulations to the new officers! NCCET looks forward to a productive year.
